Be prepared when coming to a session!

Tips and Tricks

Preparation
When coming to a family session, make sure to bring necessary items such as water, comfy shoes, and favorite toys for younger children. Arriving to the location early allows time to get to the exact location, have the kids run around and everyone relaxes. If you are doing a maternity shoot, remember to bring onesies and an ultrasound photo.

Hair and Makeup

Make sure to let your hair down and have fun with our shoots! As far as make up, if you choose to wear makeup, heavier makeup does present better in photos.

What to Avoid

Avoid clothing that is wrinkly and shoes that are uncomfortable. You want to wear something that is easy to pose in and even jump around in!

What's next?

Once you have decided location, date and time of a session, I will send over a booking questionnaire, contract and invoice.

If you have any further questions, you can reach out to get the answers or clarification that you need.

I will be in contact with you via text day of session and even the day before to confirm we are ready to roll for our session.

All you need to do is sit back and relax and know that everything is taken care of. I do pride myself on communication, so you don't need to worry about that.

Once we are finished with your session, I will send some sneak peaks via text. Final album will get delivered via email and I will also send you a text to let you know that I have sent it over. Turn around time is roughly 1-2 weeks as of August 2026.

Check List!

  • If doing group or family photos (maternity as well), make sure to coordinate everyone's outfits and make sure everthing fits.

  • I always encourage my clients to bring water. It can be really hot out there especially during the summer months. I also recommend if you do tend to sweat a lot, bring a towel to wipe away sweat.

  • If a pet is involved in a photoshoot, please remember to bring a doggy bag and leash.
